The inside design program at The University of Alabama is dedicated to providing students with competent, entry-degree design skills that handle the aesthetic, psychological, and environmental points impacting inside area. The IARD-BS major is a cohort program ‐ after students cross the Design Situation, semesters 3, four, 5, 6 ,7, and eight are sequential. Furniture usually has an industrial flair, as tables, chairs and sofas are constructed out of salvaged woods and metals in addition to leather-based upholstery.
Our E+ID program is unique from different tutorial programs, in that it extends past the normal scope of interior design by encompassing the broader elements of the setting into the design process. Curriculum offering multi-level, accredited courses that put together students with the competencies required to enter the Interior Design occupation or switch to a 4-12 months school or college.
Graduates also work in lighting design, product improvement, advertising, research, design-related journalism, illustration, facility administration, showroom administration, and as manufacturers’ representatives. Stilted furnishings with elongated features and clear lines, Mid Century Modern has a distinct look suited to even a small room décor.
Latest alumni of this system are employed by interior design and architecture companies and work in the hospitality, schooling, healthcare, and real estate sectors, whereas others have pursued graduate degrees in fields including structure, historic preservation and sustainability studies.
